I know how it feels, I passed up some really great clothes myself, and sometimes i even feel nostalgic about them (what a sad little person i am lol). There is a great authentic 60's set of a dress and overcoat that I missed out on (for a stupid reason too "where will i wear it"-kinda-thing, and the memory still haunts me. Maybe i should attempt at drawing it to get over it?
